Privacy Policy 

ARTICLE 1 - GENERAL PRINCIPLES

1.1 MAWZI SRL is a Belgian company, headquartered in at 1070 Brussels, Paepsem Bd. 18C, registered with the Belgian trade register under the number 0790.208.124, hereinafter (herein after referred to as « MAWZI ») which operates a communication platform through its mobile application (hereinafter referred to as the “Application”).

1.2 MAWZI’s Purpose is to allow offer a unique digital platform for registered qualified technicians (hereinafter "Service Providers"), manufacturers (hereinafter "Manufacturers"), and registered dental clinics (hereinafter “Users”) to communicate and deal directly through a variety of tools such as Chat, instant messaging, video, audio, calendar, and time management tools. The Application facilitates the approval of technicians  by Manufacturers and to enable them to offer their services to the Dentist which include maintenance and the intervention in order to repair dentals equipment.

1.3  MAWZI does not provide Dentist’s profiles and thus personal data to Technicians as MAWZI, indeed either a Dentist subscribes himself to the Application either he has been invited directly by one of its current technicians to become a member of the Application.

1.4 All personal data collected through  our Applications (hereinafter referred to as “Personal data”) are processed in compliance with the European and Belgian regulations applicable to the protection of personal data in particular with the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (General Data Protection Regulation, “GDPR”), the Directive 2002/58/EC as amended by the Directive 2009/136/EC.

1.5 You are invited to carefully read this Privacy Policy (herein after referred to as the « Policy»).

ARTICLE 2: SCOPE

2.1 This Policy explains how MAWZI uses and process your Personal data when you use our Application and your rights as Users and/or Service Providers/Manufacturers.

2.2. As used in this privacy policy, the term “Personal Data” means information that, alone or in combination with other information available to MAWZI, identifies you directly or indirectly, and has the same meaning as set out in the GDPR. 

2.3. The Policy applies to all services provided by MAWZI via its Applications and sets out the basis on which the Personal Data is collected from our Applications, and how it will be processed by Us.

 

ARTICLE 3: COLLECTED DATA

3.1 When you use our Application, we may collect information (Personal data included) in several ways:

3.1.1 Data directly provided by the users. We collect and process the Data you provide directly when creating your personal account such as: first name, last name, company name, phone number, email address, company address, company VAT number, etc…

3.1.2 Data collected via technological tools. Our technological tools allow us to collect the Data you disseminate when you use the Website, we may then collect passive data such as the IP (Internet Protocol) address or the browser type. We also use cookies in order to recognize the preferences of our visitors so that we can configure our Application as user-friendly as possible and to make it possible for specific applications of our Applications to operate correctly.

It is also possible that we collect Data in order to conduct visit performance and traffic analysis but also to market our activities in order to suggest you personalized offers and also profiling activities in order to carry out targeted advertising.

3.1.3 Data from the Dentists: Such Data may only be submitted to us by a Service Provider with the consent of the Dentists or by the Dentist himself. Such Data may be the following:  name, address and contact details, including email address and telephone, VAT number etc…

3.1.4 Data from the Technician: Such Data may only be submitted to us by the technician himself. Such Data may be the following:  name, address and contact details, including email address and telephone number, qualifications, relevant experience and employment, history.

3.1.5 Data from the manufacturer: Such Data may only be submitted to us by the representative of the accompany or anyone who has the powers to represent the comptnay. Such Data may be the following:  name, address and contact details, including email address and telephone, VAT number etc…

 

 

ARTICLE 4: PURPOSE AN LAWFUL BASIS OF THE DATA PROCESSING

MAWZI recalls to the Technician their obligations to process the Personal Data of the Dentist in conformity with the applicable data privacy regulation in their country of residence as well as the applicable regulation in the Job applicant’s country of residence.

For the rest, Legitimate interests, the execution of our services and in some cases, the prior consent, are the legal basis on which we collect, use and process Personal Data as set out below:

4.1 The purposes of our processing activities are the following:

  • The personal data that we collect are used to process the execution of our services. The Personal data collected may be used to improve our services and let us know your interests with regard to the functionalities, the performances and the support of our services.

  • We may use the Personal data collected ourselves or via several supports for the purposes of promotional, commercial or information communications. In this context, in order to keep you informed about our news and our best offers, we may offer our newsletters for free with your prior consent or unless opposed by you if you have used MAWZI services previously. Unless you notify your objection, we are entitled to send you via e-mail information regarding the use of our services and our promotional offers.

  • In addition, we may use the Personal data collected to carry out studies aimed at improving our services.

  • We may disclose your Personal data to our direct marketing partners if you choose to receive our promotional communications. 

  • In any case, we make reasonable efforts to the extent within our control to ensure that the concerned companies respect this Policy. We prohibit the mentioned companies to use your Personal data for other purposes than those listed in the present document.

 

4.3 We may “anonymize” your Personal data by removing the personally identifiable information such as the name and e-mail address and then aggregate data for market research purpose. We may further disclose such anonymized information to third parties. 

4.4 All of our suppliers are entities that have committed themselves to respect or to comply with the new European standards in terms of privacy, moreover the non-European partners are part of the agreement called Privacy Shield which forms the framework negotiated between the European Union and the United States so that American companies can provide similar guarantees in terms of privacy that the standards imposed by the European Union.

4.5 We may disclose your Personal data if necessary, in order to (a) comply with the applicable laws or satisfy a Court order or injunction; or to (b) protect and defend our rights and the rights of the Users of the Website or (c) to comply with other legal or regulatory requirements.

4.6 Except as otherwise provided in the present section, we undertake not to transfer your Personal data to third parties without your approval.

4.7 If you gave your prior consent to certain data process(es) performed by MAWZI, you have the right to withdraw your agreement at any time, by contacting MAWZI to the following address:  hello@mawzi.com

 

ARTICLE 5: RIGHT TO OPPOSE

5.1 You have the right to oppose to the processing of your Personal data and to the use of said data for the purposes of prospection, of commercial nature. This right may be exercised by writing to MAWZI, to the following address : hello@mawzi.com

5.2 To unsubscribe from our newsletters you may click on the “unsubscribe” link situated at the bottom of all our newsletters. The unsubscribe requests are considered only if you further receive a confirmation message. In the event you do not receive the confirmation message, you may exercise the right to oppose as described in article 5.1 of this Policy.

5.3 In the event we decide to use personal data for any purpose other than as stated in this Privacy Policy, we will offer user an effective way to opt out of the use of user’s personal information for those other purposes.

 

 

ARTICLE 6: RIGHT TO ACCESS, TO RECTIFY, TO REMOVE AND TO LIMIT THE PROCESSING

6.1 You have the right to access, to rectify, to remove and to limit the processing of your Personal data in accordance with Article 15, 16, 17 and 18 of GDPR.

ARTICLE 7: RIGHT TO PORTABILITY

You also have the right to receive the Personal data that concern you and that you have provided to MAWZI in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and the right to transmit those data to another controller without hindrance from the controller to which the personal data have been provided, where the processing is based on consent or on a contract and is carried out by automated means. 

 

ARTICLE 8: SECURITY MEASURES

MAWZI takes all precautions to ensure the security of your Data. We have set up a program for securing the information stored in our systems. In addition, our computer systems have data encryption and software protection. Unfortunately, no electronic communication over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. 

 

ARTICLE 9: CONSERVATION OF YOUR DATA

 MAWZI may store your personal data for a duration that does not exceed what is necessary to achieve the finality for which these data are collected, to in order to offer you, new services.

To that end, MAWZI will delete your Personal Data after 60 months after the cancellation of your Member Account.

  

ARTICLE 10: RIGHT TO LODGE A COMPLAINT

Without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedy, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority, in the Member State of your habitual residence, place of work or place of the alleged infringement if you consider that the processing of your Data infringes the GDPR.
